The Chief Scientific Officer of Revolymer was walking the streets of the US and became curious about what all the blobs on the sidewalks were. He quickly realised it was gum and, challenged by his wife, decided to do something about it.
He went away and designed a new ingredient that would work within gum.
On the seventh attempt, he created the perfect ingredient that, when formulated into gum, gave removability and degradability properties – and REV7 was born (Rev for Revolution, 7 for the number of attempts it took to perfect).
Scientists at Revolymer have worked for several years since to achieve a great tasting, great chewing product that still realises these properties.
